Seems they had some clear skies on the west side at least for part of the day.
They started out finding multiple seals at the outfall, foraging and fighting. They worked really hard to keep track of who was who. They were only able to make two positive IDs.
One seal was Kaale RH32 stealing fish as usual. LOL some habits are hard to break. He came close to the rocks a few times and then back out again.
Next they ID was R3CX Nalu His infamous bleach mark on left side of his face, was visible for a clear ID.
The third seal had no tags, green snout and was an adult. They could not get anything so itwas reported as an Unknown Adult.
All of a sudden they just disappeared, so Team R&B headed out.
Later in the morning they found two males on shore at secrets.
One was Kekoa Alii RK72 and the other was RG32. They were hanging out together snoozing.
Next they headed over to paradise cove and when they arrived there was a volunteer on site.
RK62 was on shore with four signs and no ropes.
They spent three hours trying to get a tag shot of this female. She never moved, weather was nice and cool so she stayed in one spot. Team R&B were frustrated, but after talking with some folks someone actually showed them a picture with the tag K62. They also spoke to one of the folks on the beach who showed a video clip of another seal there fighting with her on shore at about 7 am. They couldn't make out who the male was.
Last stop at another west side location they were thrilled to find RP30 Puka. He was resting on the rocks. As an added bonus just across from him was RG28 Lefty. He was slumped over the rocks in a sound sleep.
