Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:45 to 2:45 and there were four seals on island today.
Near each other about 50 feet Makapuu of the 3BS were:
Juvenile Male: larger juvenile to smaller subadult size, light gray male belly and two red tags.
About 30 feet Lanikai side of SRI was an Adult Male #1: adult size, tannish male belly, not sure about tags.
In SRI was Adult Male #2: large adult size, darker gray male belly and at least one red tag seen.
Team R&B started very early this morning since they had some appointments. They stopped at one beach and saw a clean seal foraging off the rocks doing 4 to 6 minute dives. The seal had no tags. There were no visible scars while viewing from the left side. They ID'd the seal as R413, she did not land while they were there.
For the third day in a row they spotted the boobie with the plastic bag. The boobie is still flying low but must be doing okay.
At Kahe they saw a seal on the rocks. They couldn't go closer since there is a raging woman who causes problems. They ID'd the seal as RH32 Kaale.
At another beach close by they saw a seal was on shore. Ofcourse there were people passing by. They ID'd R413 Makamae from her CC scar and no tags.
After they ID'd her they had to leave for the day, to deal with a problem at home with their pond pump. (hopefully all was fine).
