01/14/2023 Saturday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:50 to 2:05 and there were four seals on island during her observation.
Initially high up in the dunes Lanikai side of the 1BS was an Adult Female: She did not move down to the shoreline until about 1:15. Adult size yellowish female belly and two red tags.
The other three HMS were between Middle Cliff and SRI.
About 30 feet Lanikai of the 3BS was an Adult Male: large adult size, darker coat, dark gray male belly, unsure about tags.
About 20 feet Makapuu of the 3BS was a seal that appears to be RK24: subadult to adult size, lighter gray male belly, two red tags. Possible right side scar, lower lip scar was not visible..
On waterfront rocks near SRI was an Unknown Adult: adult size, gray coat, not sure about gender or tags.

Team R&B started their day watching the whales and a seal foraging.  The seal disappeared and then showed up on the rocks. IT was RL08 who spent the rest of the day resting on the rocks.

They took the ride out to secrets and saw three seals on shore. Two were together on the sand and one was alone on shore high up mid shore.
They ID'd RK72 Kekoa Alii with who they think is RN14 Kalani. The seal that was on its own was Nalu R3CX.

Next they headed over to another west side location. At first they didn't see anything. the waves were covering the area looking like snow. Then high up in the rocks resting was RM31 Kai.  waves came up one after another, at the surrounding Kai. But the little guy just moved to a rock and held on.  Too cute!
