On Sunday I got a call to go check a "giant seal" in front of a friend's house. When I got there the giant turned out to be RK36 Kauai Kolohe.
Today we IDed 6 seals during our monitoring.
The first was a pleasant surprise RW22 Kolohe sleeping peacefully on the beach where he spent the day
Then we saw RN58 Luana who also spent the day hauled out on a nice sandy beach
R3CU Nalu was in a bathtub size tide pool - his wound wasn't visible
RL74 Kami was hanging between 2 rocks sleeping "seal comfortably"
RG40 Holokai was sleeping on some reefs in a tide pool
Roads still have giant puddles; the plants are green, and blooms are everywhere. LAAL chicks are wondering around out of their nests looking plump and healthy. We have 50 LAAL chicks
More soon - Be Safe
