Today's dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕.
Before I get into todays dailies I want to acknowledge there has been a recent loss to our monk seals. I do not have details, and I only mention this since there is a conversation taking place on social media. I am a believer in good communication, it is the key to a successful community of people. When I first began it was important to include the community. Back then the blog was the social media, and yes sometimes information wasn't readily shared. But in todays environment there are so many more people involved, more seals, more sightings, we need to get better about trusting the information as a TWO WAY communication. Any good relationship is based on TRUST and RESPECT. Right now seems the community isn't feeling either. Okay off my blog box and onto the dailies!
Team R&B started off at the outfall watching Kaale RH32 steal fish. You can always count on good ole
butt head for stealing da fish. Suddenly there were two more seal in the outfall and then they all disappeared. They were heading for tracks, so Team R&B took off and headed over. As they arrived the two seals went speeding by. One was Kalani RN14 and the other is being reported as an U/U. They waited for a while to see if they would return. Finally one seal is heading for the shore, its Kalani RN14 again. He very cautiously about landing, but he came in. Team R&B called the hotline.Leaving tracks they went to check other sites. They happened to look up and saw a sunbow, how cool is this! At the site they found Kekoa Alii RK72 on the rocks to the right. Lefty RG28 was on the rocks left side. In addition there were the dolphins at play.
At another west side site they found R3CX Nalu on the rocks to the right. He had the whole place to himself! From afar they could see a male seal on its side. The area has a lot of camps so they just watched from afar.
