10/15/2014 Lesley Update from Ka'ena Point

Kimo & I did the Ka'ena Pt monitoring hike today RW02 "Kauai" was on Birth Beach side of Camp Erdman. He has finally started his molt ~5%

R303 "BG" was on the little beach before the fence gate. Her molt is ~35/40%

There were no seals at the point.

Before we started our hike we met up with the DLNR forestry team and updated each other with KPt stories.

Kamehameha students came to work on their indigenous plants project @ Manini Beach (Hidden Beach).  Later we met Marion Lyman-Merseau (Kimo's sister) with her group of 96+ students from Punahou for some outreach in front of "BG".
