Team R&B arrived and looked for an hour at Pokai and there were no seals. They heard something, kept looking and saw nothing. Then they heard the fishermen grumbling, it was a seal taking fish. The seal was young, clean coat and two red tags. The well known fish thieves are RH32, but it wasn't him. This seal was smaller and two red tags. They thought maybe RL20.
When they went back later in the day, they were happy to see RL20 Kalua had hauled out. He is looking quite fat these days.
They saw a seal haul out at tracks and four people passed right by it. So Team R&B headed over and they were able to the female as R604. She finally showed her side, scar on top of head, cc scars all over, no tags and looking nice and plump. Her coat is looking greenish. Then they remembered at one point that her right fore flipper had a serious injury. Looks like it was a cc would and her flipper is healed and in tact.
Next they headed over to plains where they found two seals onshore. The lifeguards were interested in the male with all the cc scars. At first they couldn't remember which seal had all those scars and then they saw a tag. They had to wait for a wave to clean off the tag since it was covered in sand. They were surprised and happy to see RL08. They couldn't remember seeing him at this location before. He is a big boy and was all fired up with the beautiful Miss Aukai RL12. The two of them hung out on the beach making Team R&B very happy to see and ID the two of them.
