January 26, 2025 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:15 to 1:15 pm and there was one seal seen during that time.
Between 3BS and SRI was an Unknown Juvenile: juvenile size, older coat, and two red tags. Marilyn could not determine if it was a male or female, there were some photos where she thought it was male and others that it was female.

Team R&B found RH76 Kala this morning at pokai. She was alone
front of left rocks.  When they went back later in the afternoon for a recheck she was still there, even with all the rain.
When they were there in the morning they got to watch the dolphins for a bit.

In the am they saw RL20 Kalua foraging by the jetty. He later went to the rest-camp area and continued to forage. The school of fish that was in the area left, this was before it rained.

From afar they spotted a seal at kahe well hidden in the rocks. When they got to the area it was really difficult to get an ID. The seal was sub-adult size, they couldn't see tags, small scar on left side of its head. Its fur was wet and dry making for an interesting look and harder to tell who it was.

They headed over to plains and found that Miss Aukai RL12 was alone today. She was on the opposite side of the fence. It was harder to get photos of her, but they did their best. They waited around for about an hour or more to see if another seal would show up, but not today.

Lastly they headed over to yoks and saw some signs and orange flags up. Sure enough there was a seal. They went to the area and it was pouring rain and chilly. The seal was an adult with clean coat with tags. They believe this is RW02 PvKauai. Needless to say they got soaked, that's dedication!
