January 19, 2025 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:12 to 1:58 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
Between 1BS and 2BS there were three seals. They were resting on the dark olivine sand which sticks to them and obscures many markers.
Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, light male belly and two red tags.
Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, light female belly and two red tags.
Unknown Adult: adult size, two red tags, unsure of sex because Marilyn only had a rear view. She would guess that it is a male, but is not sure.
Alone between 3BS and SRI was an Adult Female: adult size, tannish-gray female belly and two red tags.

Team R&B started their day watching the whales. They got to see some of them breaching and lots of flukes.  They caught up with friend Miss Kerby who was also enjoying the whales.

They checked the usual spots and only found one seal today.  It was the lovely Miss Kala RH76 resting at her zen garden.  A friend of theirs who was onsite when she hauled in and he was thrilled to see her make her way onshore.
Team R&B is going through withdrawal, seems all our seals have been hanging out somewhere else.

On their last stop they didn't see any seals.  There was lots of traffic and they had to park further away because the beach was closed with no swimming signs posted.  But that didn't stop the surfers from taking advantage of the big surf. They were out there enjoying every minute, putting on a show for the crowd watching them.
