Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:30 to 12:45 and there was only one seal during her observation.
An Unknown Unknown appeared to have just hauled out down from the 3BS when she first started viewing. She only got a view of its read side. Marilyn thinks its either a juvenile or subadult, newer coat, light gray ventral side and two red tags.
Team R&B's first find on the west side was R604. She was seen on the edge of the rocks resting alone. She looks like she is getting bigger, all her markers were seen, cc scars, no tags and a small dark spot on her chest.
On their second check of the bay they spotted a large male. He was resting alone, had a large cc scar above left for flipper and no tags. Checking in with the posse they ID'd RN04 Kainoa.
They also saw another mocking bird, this makes the second one they have seen in the area.
Next stop was out at the cliffs where they spotted a half hidden seal. They made the walk out and found R3CX Nalu. He was alone and resting.
Last stop was at Kahe where they saw a huge seal resting in a shallow pond. Unfortunately the strange lady who hangouts there was out yelling at people saying awful things. Team R&B got their ID and made sure no one bothered the seal. They were able to ID the lovely KG54. She was just fine sleeping the say away.
They also watched a turtle graze on some limu.
