01/11/2021 Monday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand.

At one of the more popular seal haul outs they first found RL70 Leina high up on mid rocks snoozing. She was in a good spot in that she was hard to see.  RH76 Kala was on lower rocks resting. She was snuggled on the rocks. They noted she may have two new markers on her belly. Kekoa Alii RK72 was foraging off the point doing 6 minute dives.  On their second visit Kala was still on lower rocks, Leina was being visited by a lady and Kekoa had landed on left high rocks.

At 8:40 am they found RG28 Lefty was on shore alone. They stuck around as there was a "unsavory

character" hanging around.  They called the hotline and volunteer Alex showed up. Team Billand left after volunteer arrived.

They arrived at the outfall just before 10 am and found the bosom buddies playing. Both Kalani RN14 and Kaale RH32 were splashing about in the outfall. When they left, they were heading towards tracks. Team Billand walked from the outfall keeping their eye on Kaale and Kalani along the way. 

The bosom buddies landed with RG28 Lefty. The three of them fooled around for a bit then they went into snooze mode. Volunteer Alex was still there so Team Billand filled him in on the cast of characters. They were treated with some dolphins off shore.

Team Billand was surprised to find Kawika R407 on the rocks partially in the water at another beach. Some dude arrived to fish and started yelling. Team Billand asked him to be careful of the seal below. He yelled out Seals don't own the beach, at which point Team Billand replied neither do we. 

Team Billand stopped by the bay and found the usual suspects. Lei Ola RH48 was on the rocks alone today. RN44 was foraging ocean side in the bay, as well as RL20 Kalua. To end their day two beautiful Safrons bid them aloha.
