They started out in the rain and overcast skies. They hit up a couple of locations and found no sign of seals. They did back track and spotted two seals hauling in. They hurried over and after a bit they were able to ID RN14 Kalani and R3CX Nalu. They were both wet and very sandy. Once they realized who these two critters were they saw another seal by the bath house snoozing. They checked him out and it was Kaale RH32 was alone snoozing. They called the hotline. Once they checked on Kaale they looked and noticed the other two leaving.
While hanging out with Kaale in the rain they notice another seal hauling up by the lot. So they walked down to find Kalani RN14 returned to a new spot. They stayed until 11:30 and then left to check on other sites.
Next stop they found Lefty RG28 and Kekoa RK72 on lower rocks snoozing in peace. They were the
only two there so they headed out. Later in the afternoon they tried to make another stop but there were police, HFD blocking the area. Sadly there was a tragic incident that had them keeping the area off limits.Team Billand made a stop at the bay. They found Mr. RN44 snoozing by the rocks alone. There were people around and thankfully they were all respectful. Seems he likes this place, hopefully he'll discover some of the other spots where he can hang out with some buddies.
