Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island at 12:35 to 2:20 and there were six seals seen today.
Starting out about 25 feet Lanikai side of the 2BS amid waterfront rocks was the molting Adult Female: adult size, about 90% molted, two tags and now a medium gray female belly. At 2:01 pm Marilyn noticed she had relocated to the 1BS side of LPB.
Initially together between 3BS and SRI were:
Adult Male: adult size, medium to dark gray male belly and two red tags. He later moved on to join first RK37 and then a UF. (more info coming)
With the AM initially was RQ44 Mahina: juvenile size, very green female belly and at least two red tags. She appears to be starting her yearling molt.
Near SRI was RK37 Huia basking on the rock flats. Marilyn never saw her ventral size, but her nb was visible. After the male left RQ44 he moved onto RK37.
On the rock flats partly way out of SRI was an Unknown Female: juvenile to subadult size, light female belly and unsure about tags. After the AM left RK37, he galumphed along the rock flats to the UF. He left and returned later.
Team R&B got word late afternoon of a seal at white plains. They are not sure exactly who the seal is, although their best guess is RH92 Nalani.
They also saw the white terns which always makes them happy.
