Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:40 to 2:50 and there were three seals on island today.
Initially by herself near the LPB surge channel was a Juvenile Female 1: larger juvenile size, light tannish yellow female belly and unsure about tags.
Also initially alone at the back of LPB was an Adult Female: adult size, old coat, about 30% molted ventral side and two red tags. Marilyn believes this is the seal labeled A/F1 from yesterday, who had just started molting. The A/F moved down the beach to J/F1 and then again partly up the beach.
All alone near the RRB channel was Juvenile Female 2: small juvenile seal with an old coat, very green female belly, only a brief look and saw two red tags during a flipper flex. This is probably RQ44 Mahina.
Marilyn noted she has not seen the recently molted RK37 for several days, maybe she out fattening up.
Team R&B had another one seal day. Apparently the seals have left the west side without letting them know.
From a distance they finally spotted a seal on shore. There of course were folks all around him. They could see the seal was an adult, male and one full red tag, the other was broken. They were unable to get a positive ID so they reported to him as an Unknown Male.
