Tammy went up to Kaena Point with some friends that are vising. They met up with Lesley at the point.

They only had two seal sightings at the point.  One was Ka'ena RO40 and the other was Kami RL74.  The waves were big and there were a lot of hikers out. Seems they highlight of the day for many of these people was watching Ka'ena pee and poop at the same time!   Ahhh what some people find entertaining. 😂

Team R&B first stop initially saw nothing. Just as they were going to throw in the towel, they spotted a seal foraging and doing 6 minute dives.

They could see the CC scar on back, scar on left side of head and NB on left flipper.... it was RG28 Lefty.

He took forever to finally haul in and then he played with seaweed for a while, like a puppy would play.  They shared their binoculars with a couple of military dudes. They were happy to hear all about RG28 from Kauai.  I will say this is how we do outreach, because now you know these guys will be respectful.

Next they headed to another spot, but the sun was so bright it made it difficult to id the seal on the rocks. They took many photos to finally be able to see Kaale RH32. He was alone but kept looking at something or someone.  They couldn't figure out what was catching his attention.

They happen to notice the dolphins, when they saw two seals foraging near the outfall. They tried to get a shot of both seals but was unable. They were able to ID one as Kekoa Alii RK72. He came by and hauled out with Kaale.

The other seal was reported as an unknown/unidentified went in the other direction. They never saw it again, they only know it was an adult in size.

Last stop they saw some people looking at something. They saw a seal sleeping on the rocks. They were lucky to get the ID shot of RM31 Kai.  The people left and Kai was resting comfortably. 

On the other beach they saw a goat.... yes a goat!  There was a owner walking the goat on a long leash! No ID on the goat other than unusually cute.
