Their first stop at tracks where they were checking out the area. A kayaker pointed a direction where there was a seal swimming in. They were able to ID Kaale RH32 coming in and landed in his spot. He is looking great in his new coat.
Later they went back later and Kaale was still at the site. There was an unfortunate situation of dogs going after a cat. Team R&B were distracted by the scene and when they looked up Kaale was gone.
Next stop they found two seals on shore snoozing. Some of the folks said the seals had been fighting. Team R&B did hear the commotion but didn't get any photos. They ID'd the two seals as Kekoa Alii RK72 and RN14 Kalani.
They did call the hotline. A volunteer finally showed up at 11 and Team R&B left.
On their next stop they saw a seal and spent much time trying to get an ID. It wouldn't show them anything to go on until they saw a 3 on the tag. That's all they needed it was Nalu R3CX.
They stopped at Makaha and found RL42 Leia on shore. She was snuggled up against the rocks. She is looking chubby and there are no new markers.
They did see a turtle across the way.
Next they found RP30 Puka. He was alone resting and looking fine.
Team R&B ended their day with a trek out to Kaena West. They werein heaven finding three seals resting. They were each in their own spots and all was peaceful.
First seal was RM31 Kai was to the left up in the rocks. Second was Lefty RG28 way out to the water front rocks. Third was RQ24 Mauna was scrunched up in the rocks. She was looking content on her own resting peacefully.
