11/23/2022 Wednesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕

Team R&B started their day with a surprise, in all their years they had only seen a seal at this particular at location once. It was R2AW who hasn't been around for years.  BUT today there on the rocks was our chubby girl RH76 Kala.  She was doing just fine resting comfortably.  Team R&B weren't the only people surprised today, so was the fisherman and the homeless guy that came by.

The dolphins were out and did not disappoint. They got some good
shots of the dolphins, some had CC wounds, one seemed to have a fishing line scar. Another had a fish attached to its side, and one had a bright colored ring on it's dorsal.

It took them awhile to get to their next stop, but when they did there was RH32 Kaale on the rocks.  There were signs up and plenty tourist not respecting the signs.  Seems he just attracts people no matter where he goes. Other folks just walked right pass the signs, up to Kaale and took pictures and then walked out. Team R&B called and reported to the hotline.
Meantime Kaale is looking healthy, nice and plump with his new coat.

Lastly they arrived at Kahe and there were no seals, so they waited. After an hour and a half, they spotted a seal bobbing up and down heading for the rocks.  They ID'd R3CX Nalu.
They waited and waited for him to haul out, but instead he disappeared. They did see his NB on the left side of his face.

I would like to take this opportunity to give thanks to Team R&B, Team T&D, and Marilyn for continuing to contribute to the blog. Actually thankful for everyone who is out on the beaches checking up on our beloved monk seals.

Wishing all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
