10/24/2022 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:20 to 2:00 and there were four seals on island today.
Most Lanikai side on LPB was an Unknown Subadult #1 (U/S 1): subadult size and new coat. This seal did not change position during her observation so she never got a look at flippers or ventral side.
Just down from 1BS was a male, that Marilyn believes was R7AF: subadult size, old coat with dark green around and below its eyes, tannish green male belly, two red tags and possibly applied bleach N2 mid dorsal.
Initially out on the rock flats at SRI was Unknown Subadult #2 (U/S 2): subadult to adult size, newer
coat, medium gray ventral, and at least one red tag.
Out on RRB was weaner RQ44 Mahina (yeah!!!) Weaner size, (although she's lost some of her baby fat) light female belly, N1 applied bleach, three red tags.

Team R&B got to the bay and noticed two seals fighting and then there was a third seal. R3CX Nalu hauled out to the right. RG32 was vocal and he came in fast. He looked several times and was roaring, and then he took off. Unfortunately the third seal could not be ID'd. It was seen speeding off towards Waianae.  They waited around for 45 minutes, but there were were no other seals.

At another west side location they only found one seal. It was Kala RH76 to the right. She was alone and in a deep sleep without a care in the world.
Going back to the bay this time they found RL20 Kalua, who may have been the third seal that took off in the morning.  He's about 85% molted.  Team R&B was upset by two people just about 12 feet away from him in the pond. They were standing there looking at the seal, and RL20 was staring back at them and looked like he was ready to leave.  Shame on people!

Team R&B had looked at other areas coming up empty. But finally they found their last seal of the day. It was RP30 Puka, he was on the rocks alone.
