Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:15 to 1:15 and just like yesterday there was only one seal during her observation.
Marilyn believes it is the same adult female. About 30 feet Lanikai side of the 1BS was the A/F: adult size, light tannish gray female belly and two red tags. She only showed her ventral side today.
Team R&B started searching early and found no seals. The beaches were filled with tourist, locals and snorkelers. And then the dolphins arrived, They always look like they are having so much fun!
Finally they spotted a seal hauling up on the rocks. It was RL20 Kalua, but to the right were three people. The trio headed over to the small ponds near Kalua. Hopefully they were respectful once Team R&B left.
Next stop they were surprised to find RG28 Lefty at the same beach for the last four days. He is finally finished with his molt and looking good. They were equally surprised there were signs up today after four days. I suspect he'll be moving on soon.
Team R&B made the Ka'ena West trek and saw something on the rocks. There basking in the sun, RM31 Kai, and to his right was his brother RP30 Puka.
A fisher walked close by him to get his spot but the seal was okay and did not react. There ended up being five other fishers across the rocks, but all was good with the brothers. They were just being lazy resting in the hot sun.
