Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island between 12:20 - 2:20 and there were four seals on island today.
Alone on LPB near 1BS was and U/J: juvenile size, old coat, two red tags and unknown gender.
In a group of three near SRI were:
S/F 1: subadult to adult size, newer coat, medium gray female belly and two red tags.
S/F 2: subadult size, older coat, tannish brown and sandy femalebelly, and two (most likely) two red tags.
S/M: subadult to adult size, newer coat, light gray male belly and two red tags.
Team R&B were out and about and the beaches were packed. (A sunny Saturday after a week of rain, it must have been insane).
There was one seal on the rocks. They ID'd RL08 who was enjoying his siesta while the waves were pounding around him.
Next they found Nalu R3CX way down by the rocks. He was leaving, but turned around and landed just after the rocks. He is 100% molted and looking great.
Then as they went on their Ka'ena West hike, they spotted a seal. It was all clean and all pau molting. It turned out to be RM31 Kai. People couldn't miss him with his new coat shining in the hot sun.
Lastly at the cliffs they spotted another shiny seal. It was resting on the rocks. They were able to ID'd RP30 Puka.
