10/11/2022 Tuesday's Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Melody and Team R&B💕

Melody braved the rain and went to visit Lehiwa RQ72 today. Needless to say there was cuteness overload. There were some folks out and about taking a look and once the rains passed it got a little busier. While Melody was there for a few hours, Lehiwa snoozed on the beach. The tide was high and the surf was rough, so it was good she was resting up.  Melody did notice an abrasion under her right eye and looks like her eye is swollen. She reported to volunteer, who in turn reported to NOAA.

Team R&B started their day at the bay. Once again Miss Kala RH76 was alone on the rocks resting.

Next stop they spotted a clean seal with lots of CC scars and red tags. They didn't know if it was a male or female, but had to leave for an appointment.  As soon as they were done they headed back and now there were two seals!
They ID'd one as a male RL08 who is back again from Molokai. The second seal was a female next to him. It was KG54 Huakai, she is big and and fat, her grey tags were visible.

They went looking for R3CX Nalu, and did not see him. They didn't realize they had passed right by him, it was when they walked back they spotted him. He was upside down in the pond snoring. Then a wave came through and passed over him. He is well over 50% molted and looking quite handsome.

Before heading out to Ka'ena West they stopped to check and sure enough they found RM31 Kai resting. HE is over 50% molted, although he didn't show his belly. They checked on him when they returned from Ka'ena West trek.

They made their Ka'ena west trek as usual and found RP30 Puka. He was on the rocks resting and there was no one around to bother him. They were not aware we were under a flood watch and were very lucky the weather held up while they were out there.
