10/01/2022 Saturday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:55 to 1:55 and there were six seals on island.
On the Lanikai side of LPB was a Subadult Male S/M#1: subadult size, new coat, light male belly and unsure about tags.
Closer to the 1BS side of LPB was Subadult Female S/F#1: subadult size, new coat, light female belly and two red tags. She looks a little thin but it could also be her position.
Between 3BS and SRI there was originally one seal alone, but two others soon arrived.
The original seal was Subadult Female S/F#2: subadult size, new coat, light female belly and unsure about tags.
Weaner RQ44 Mahina was one of the new arrivals: weaner size and shape, 3 rear flipper tags, light female belly and applied N1 bleach.
The other new arrival Subadult Male S/M#2: juvenile to subadult size, old coat, tannish male belly and at least one red tag.
Alone on the rockflats adjacent to SRI was an Adult Male A/M: adult size, old coat with lots of green on ventral side, male belly and unsure about tags.
Good to have Marilyn back out looking for critters.

Team R&B went looking for seals at guard rails and was coming up empty. That is until a homeless guy stopped them and said: " Get one seal over there Auntie"  (Honestly this is what it is about, by having a presence in the community, the community helps out.  They got in the car and drove over to find Lei Ola RH48. She was alone snoozing on the rocks. She had a good spot in that she was pretty much hidden so she was safe.  So nice to have her back in the neighborhood.

Next stop they found Miss Kala RH76. She is looking better and is about 45% into her molt. Its been
taking forever, but now looks like it is moving along.

They found R3CX Nalu in the same spot as late yesterday. He was alone and the people in the area kept their distance. Thankfully!

At the cliffs they found Puka RP30 snoozing on the rocks. He is looking very clean, bright and handsome. His CC scar was clearly visible, making for a great ID marker.
They did find a cute duck taking a break in a small water hole at Yoks Showers.
Team R&B and junior sealette made the Kaena west trek. Junior sealette with her bright young eyes spotted RM31 Kai.  They were shocked and happy to find him out there.
Lastly they noticed a seal hidden away. They waited for some movement and there was weaner RQ24 Mauna.
