We have another couple of photos from Kauai of PK1 and Momma RB00. Thank you old friend, and I appreciate your support of the blog.
Team Billand checked out a west side location at 7:30 this morning. There were two critters sleeping on the roccks. Kala RH76 was to the right front water rocks, her tag visible and applied bleach.
RG28 Left was to the left, with his bleach flipper and cc scars. Nice to see him back around.
Team Billand had to leave but checked in again later.
Just before 9 am they checked the outfall and found RH32 Kaale. Guess what he was doing... yes stealing fish, every now and then.
At 10 am they checked a nearby beach and found Kawena RH36, she was alone and completely dry. Although the beach park was closed there were still tourist out there. The lifeguards were on the megaphones warning people to go out too far, stay close.
They left the site for a bit and returned an hour and half later. RN14 Kalani was to the left on the rocks.
Kawena was still there off to the right being approached by Kaale, he would snuggle up tp her, she would bark at him. Kaale being a butthead kept at it, until he took notice of RN14 Kalani. He perked up and guarded Kawena for himself.
On their last check of the west side site, they found three critters. Kala RH76 was with RG28 Lefty together on the right inland. Kala was rolling about then going into the shallow pond together.
Kekoa RK72 was at lower rocks coming out of the water hole. He is a BIG boy, makes me happy he's grown up strong.
As an added bonus to their day Team Billand got to see some horses take a mud bath, along with a new colt. Nature at its best.
Late email from posse pal Vicki. She spotted Sadie RB12 today on the north shore.
