We also have a special treat today, a photo of RB00's pup, PK1 looking so amazing! This photo came to be from a friend of the blog. It is a great privilege to share this with you and I only ask if anyone THINKS about sharing it you only do so by linking it to the blog.
Seems lately folks are using the blog for information and not giving credit to the people who contribute to this blog. :-)
Team Billand arrived at the outfall before 8 am and spotted Ka'ale RH32 foraging, then he disappeared. Shortly after they found him hauled up on the rocks nearby, he was alone.
When Team Billand returned to the beach park at 10 it was locked up.
According to Department of Parks & Recreation, City and County of Honolulu are closing city parks, park facilities, campgrounds through April 30, 2020. This is being done to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19.
At 10:30 Team Billand found a seal at a west side beach. It took them a little time studying the critter and finally they were able to ID Kekoa Alii RK72. He was on left high rocks and his broken tag, a small subtle bleach mark on side of belly gave them a clue, but it wasn't until he showed his signature scar on right cheek that they knew for sure. Kekoa is looking healthy and plump.
At 12:30 Team Billand found another critter to the right seal inlet. They were able to ID RH36 Kawena. They could see her lite bleach on right hind area and the little scar on side of her belly. She did not make it easy by showing tags but they had enough to go on. She was sound a sleep just like Kaale and Kekoa.
Meet PK1 - Well hello there!
