We had 2 seals at the point RL74 Kami and R330 Squinty.
Kami was in the same location as yesterday, from far with the strong wind it was very hard to take a photo when she moved and showed her face.
We waited for long stretches' of time for Squinty to move. He was in an outer pool doing the hippo. Different from yesterday, cause this one was a deep one and he was all the way at the bottom. We managed to ID him but never got to see his belly. Some photos were taken from high up above and most with zoom, he never saw us.
This afternoon Kai (a fisherman posse) that knew we were looking at Squinty, texted me to say Squinty had hauled out and Kami was still in the same spot.
We did a lot of outreach today and got to see several groups of Albatross pre-breeders singing and courting, adults flying and chickies wondering around nest areas. Ambassador Chicky had moved a little further from where we had seen "it" on our way in, "it" looked gorgeous settle in the grass among the blooms.
The TRIO Snow Geese were at the slopes of Hidden Beach Ka'ena side. It was funny to see as they waddled up the wind blowing from behind them ruffled their feathers making it look like a "bad feather day".
More tomorrow
