I got a text this afternoon from my old friend Karen B who is now employed on the marine base. She said KC was hauled out but she wasn't able to get a photo at that time. It was just good to know KC was back on Oahu safe and resting.
Well I was thrilled to get an email this evening from posse pal Anissa K. with pictures of KC looking healthy. Thank you Anissa for sharing your findings.
Team Billand is having technical difficulties this evening and was very frustrated by the whole thing. I can relate! Barb ended up texting me her photos of their findings today. We have the photos but the narrative is limited.
One thing that doesn't need a lot of words is the wonderful news that RH92 Nalani was released today hook free. The NOAA team was able to remove the hook and get her back into the wild in two days. Let's hope she stays hook free.
Team Billand first find was RIP RR70 at a west side location. It was after finding RIP they headed out to another location and watched the release of RH92.
Barbara did the Ka'ena West trek and found three seals. The first one was RW02 PvKauai.
Then they found 206 RL98 tucked away hiding behind the rocks.
The last find during the Ka'ena trek was Ka'ena playing hippo in a small pool. Silly seal!
