When I arrived at Irma's
at 0625 and found no Kermit, I wanted, with all my little bald heart, to believe
that he had come to his senses and gotten outta' here. Alas, on my 3rd Irma's
check I found Kermit (R012), 300 yds east of the traffic light. I got him
cordoned off, and redid he cordon no less than half a dozen times has he
repositioned up and down, right and left. He has remained all day. He was still
there when I picked up the rope at dark.
On my 1146 Rabbit Island
check I found Duke (RA12) and Buster (RV08) together, 40 ft left of Seal Rock
Inlet. They would be the only RI residents today.
Though Gayle and I had done
numerous Crappy Cove checks through the morning, it would be fisherman posse
member Robert, who would find Kaiwi (RK96) at Crappy Cove, at 1215. He called at
1226 and we were there by 1236. She has remained all day. Thanks to Robert,
Gayle & Jean and Larry !.
Dana
called at 0819 with the report of and animal at the showers at Diamond Head. She
would call again at 0910 to advise that it was Irma (R010).
Dera
called at 0828 with the report of an animal at the Outrigger Reef Hotel in
Waikiki. This was apparently Rocky's location yesterday. At 0930 Dana called to
report that it was Rocky (RH58). Thanks to Don, Zeeny & Karen R.. If there
are any other unsung heroes.... Ya' Done Good !!! Dana called at 1840 to advise
that Rocky had departed.
Team Billand checked in at
1454 with the report of Benny (RE74) at Maili Point.
They called again at 1525 to
advise that they had found Pohaku (RO28) at Electric Beach
Kermit @ Irmas
Kaiwi @ Crappy cove
Benny @ Maili Point
RO28 @ Electric Beach doing AB crunches

Unsung hero from Rocky's visit AND Irma at Diamond Head was Charles Lee from Hanauma Bay. Charles did the hike down to DH showers, ID'd Irma with a call in description, then went to Outrigger and ID'd Rocky for us. All before heading off to work. We could not have been prepared or been as informed on what to expect without his help. Thank you Charles.
