1-14-2012 Nani RK60 Hangs out on the Mokes in Lanikai

I got a call this morning from Kailua Sailboard & Kayak, reporting a "weaner" on the Mokes. The first call only said the seal was small and had red tags. Andy who was on the mokes (one of KSK's great tour guides) was out on a four hour tour with a group.  The next call I got from the office saying Andy had checked in and had photos and initially noted a tag with K6 maybe and I or a T....
Of course a quick call to DB we were figuring on Nani. Finally at 5:00 this evening I was able to talk to Andy in person and see the photos to most positively ID Nani.....
Andy reported alot of people on the Mokes but everyone was being extremely well behaved and respectful! HOW's THAT!!!    Thank you Andy, Anissa and all of the KSK peeps!

K60/K61 tags
Interesting she was born on Rabbit Island with no people and sight.... and here she is hauling out on a small land mass packed with noisy people... and it didn't phase her in the least.
