Kaiwi was a no show today. With all the hordes of people
on the beaches today , there wasn't any place to haul out anyway.
AT 0859 I found an animal 40
ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island. It would take all day for it to move into view.
I'll carry it as an U/M for the time being. I saw a fresh wound , possibly a new
CC wound , mid ventral, just right of the midline.
At 0903 I found a D#9 , 15%
molting Buster (RV08) up in the vegetation . He would later move down to cool
off.
At 0904 I found RM38 &
Kolohe (RW22) together amongst the water front rocks, right of Seal Rock Inlet.
Once again today I had
visitors to Rabbit Island, from 1053 till 1133. It was the same boat that had
come yesterday. There had been 4 people yesterday. Today they were 11 people,
all of whom once again played the game of being on the island , but staying in
the water just enough to keep their feet wet. The kids were playing in the
shallows. I gave the boat's ID number (HA 8406 H) to DOCARE Officer Ken, who
advised that he will contact the boat owner.
Team Billand called at 0730
with the report of Kermit (R012), once again fronting #1708 at White Plains.
Barbara reported an interesting end to the day at WP. They had at least one, and
probably 2 Tiger Sharks in the shallows at end of day. They cleared the water .
Hopefully, Kermit will be wise enough to stay on the beach tonight.
Team Billand also reported
Irma at the cove just west of Paradise Cove at 1145.
At 1241 they found Pohaku
(RO28) at Secret Beach, KoOlina.
The Digas made the Ka'ena
Point trek today, and found 761, Ka'ena (RO40), Noa (R6FI), and Kerby (RW08) at
the end of the world.
Dana called at 1114 to
advise of an animal behind the Elk's Club in Waikiki. Colleen responded and
confirmed the Rocky (RH58) at 1238. According to Colleen, Rocky left just before
sundown.
Another party on Rabbit Island... amazing.
Rocky rockstar @ the Elk's club Waikiki
Thank you Colleen!
