Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:08 to 1:53 pm and once again there were five seals seen during that time.
Between 1BS and 2BS was a Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, newer coat, light tan male belly and two red tags.
Almost exactly where she was yesterday down from 3BS was an Adult Female: adult size, robust, tan female belly, two red tags and ascar on her ventral neck area. Marilyn is guessing she is pregnant, but still has months to go.
Between 3BS and SRI were two adult males:
Adult Male 1: adult size, dorsal brown coat perhaps with a mid-dorsal pit scar, brown male belly and starting to molt (about 10% on upper chest) unsure about tags.
About 15-20 feet away was Adult Male 2: adult size, about 80% molted, gray male belly, unsure about tags.
In the RRB channel was Adult Male 3: adult size, about 90% molted with old fur on flippers and a few patches on the dorsal.
Team R&B only had one seal today. They found Miss Kala RH76 and they almost missed her. She was well hidden in the rocks and didn't move. She was alone snoozing, and with the surf dying down some she was able to rest undisturbed.
They did all their routine stops, and didn't find anymore seals, just using a lot of gas. They did see a mongoose sneaking about. They also found a plover that posed for them. They titled it; "Crane" by Plover.
