Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:33 am to 1:06 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Almost directly down from the 3BS was an Adult Female: adult size, light tannish gray female belly, two red tags and possibly a pit scar on the left rear side.
About 30 feet Makapuu of the AF was Adult Male 1: adult size, about 55% molted with a medium gray molted male belly, unsure about tags.
About 40 feet further towards the SRI was Adult Male 2: adult size, about 75% molted, gray male belly, old fur about 25% of the dorsal side, unsure about tags.
Initially about 15 feet further in the Makapuu direction was Adult Male 3: adult size, old brown coat, brown male belly, unsure about tags.
Closer to SRI was Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, newer coat, light tan male belly and two red tags.
It was RG28 Lefty on shore and looking good, even though he still has a hook. He is 100% molted with his new coat. The hook was visible with the line trailing. Thankfully there were two signs up today.
Team R&B talked with the life guard, who said there had been a smaller seal on shore earlier. Team R&B spent two hours at the site and the only seal seen was RG28.
They did see the dolphins passing by. They got a pic of them passing the dolphin boat and one of the crew looking surprised.
The only other critter was spotted as they drove by Makaha. They noticed something onshore and people gathering. So they stopped and found it was a big turtle. It looked healthy, they didn't see any hooks or lines. The folks around were thrilled to see it up close.
