August 5, 2024 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:50 to 2:30 pm and there were seven seals seen during that time.
Initially out on the rock flats of LPB was an Adult Female 1: adult size, new coat, medium gray female belly; unsure about tags. At about 2:15 pm the AF1 moved onto LPB about 50 feet from RT19.
Weaner RT19 hauled out on LPB at 12:58: weaner size and shape, light male belly and two red tags.

Near each other in the middle of LPB were two seals:
Weaner RT90 Manapua: large weaner size and shape, light male belly and two red tags.
Near RT90 was a Sub-adult Male: small sub-adult to larger juvenile size, older coat, light male belly with a number of visible scars; not sure about tags.

On the 1BS side of LPB was Adult Female 2: adult size, new coat, light to medium gray female belly with a scar on the center lower neck and two red tags.

At 1:12 pm, Marilyn became aware of two seals about 50 feet of the Middle Cliff side of 3BS. They may have been earlier, but Marilyn thinks they had just hauled out.
Adult Male: adult size, older coat with lots of green, dark male belly and two red tags. He may have a scar on his RFF.
Near the AM was a Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, older coat with green, brown female belly and two red tags.

Team R&B were out and about on this beautiful hot day. Guess all the seals were on Rabbit Island because they only found one seal today.
There was RM31 Kai alone at Kahe.

Later in the afternoon ride they saw two trucks stuck in the sand at Yoks. Sorry this is something I do not understand, why people bring their vehicles out on the beach. Oh well.

They did get a photo of what they believe is a masked boobie flying out at sea.
