August 21, 2024 Wednesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:03 to 2:47 pm and there were six seals seen during that time.
Initially out on LPB were three seals:
Weaner RT90 Manapua: large weaner size and shape.
Weaner RT19: weaner size and shape, light male belly and two red tags.
Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, older coat, tan mottled male belly with some apparent scars. This might be R416 Makali'i based on the ventral, but Marilyn could not confirm his applied N10 bleach.
Later another seal (possibly the SF described below) briefly joined the group but then she and RT90 entered the water and were later seen in the water near LPB
On the beach below 1BS were three more seals:
Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, light female belly and two red tags.
Unknown Sub-adult: sub-adult size, older coat with lots of green, possibly female belly, and two red tags.
RP24 Mohala: sub-adult size, newly molted coat, light gray female belly, two red tags and nb on the top of her LFF.
Marilyn believess the SF that went over to the LPB seals and entered the water with RT90. Later they showed up in the water in front of 1BS. RP24 entered the water and entered into the play. The SF hauled back out first and later RP24 hauled out.
RT90 did not haul out again during Marilyn's viewing session.

Team R&B arrived at the bay and a friend let them know that the seals in 40 minutes before. That the seals had been fighting a lot.
Team R&B ID'd Kala RH76 who was annoyed by Kalua RL20's closeness. He seemed really interested in her, does this mean he's an adult now?  They grow up so fast.
They hung out for a while and they ere happy to observe these two together.

Their only other find was at the cliffs. They were happy to find another seal, although it was snoozing. They were lucky to ID RM31 Kai before the waves got the best of him. He was getting hit and being flipped over and over.
