Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:08 to 2:43 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Out on the Lanikai side of LPB was weaner RT19. He was identified by his weaner size and shape, his light male belly and his two red tags.
At about 2:00 pm, weaner RT90 Manapua, hauled out in the middle of LPB. He moved up the slope and immediately went into snooze mode. He was ID'd by his large weaner size and his red tags. He never showed his ventral size.
Near 1BS where she has been for a week was molting RP24 Mohala. Marilyn estimates she is about 75% molted. She still has a lot of old fur on her rear dorsal. She was ID'd by her sub-adult size, light female belly, two red tags and the nb on her LFF.
RS12 Hoku started out near SRI, but she had left there at 2 pm and she showed up and hauled out near RP24 about 2:05 pm. She was ID'd by her juvenile size, old coat, tan female belly, tow red tags and applied N3 bleach on her dorsal.
Out on RRB was a seal that Marilyn was able to ID as R416 Makalii. He is adult size, old coat, tan male belly, applied N10 bleach on his dorsal and a scar near the base of his LFF. He entered the water about 2:15 pm and was not seen again.
Team R&B had another slow day. Their only seal for the day was RM31 Kai. He had just hauled up at Kahe and the boy is looking green. They noted he had white stuff on his left flipper. It could just be gunk, although it could be a line. They just couldn't be sure and will keep their eye on him.
Everyday when they are out checking locations for seals, Team R&B also look to see if the dolphins areout. Today they did not disappoint. They were thrilled when two dolphins jumped out at the same time and even better they got the shot.
The babies are irresistibly adorable and they were very active. The babies look to be about two to three feet long.
