August 19, 2024 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:45 to 2:30 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
Again out on the Lanikai side of LPB was weaner RT19. He was ID'd by his weaner size and shape, light male belly and two red tags.
Near 1BS was weaner RT90 Manapua. He was ID'd by his chubby weaner size and shape, light male belly and two red tags.
Initially at SRI was RP24 Mohala. She was ID'd by her sub-adult size, new coat 100% molted, two red tags, light gray female belly and nb on the tip of her LFF. Marilyn realized at 1:45 pm that she had entered the the water at SRI and showed
up about 10 minutes later near 1BS and not far from RT90. They later came nose to nose, but then went their separate ways.

Team R&B first find was at the bay where they found Kai RM31 with RG32 on the rocks. They were thinking that Kaale or Kala might be around but not today.  RG32 accepted RM31 like they were buddies, unlike Kaale's behavior towards Kai yesterday.
They hung around for a while hoping that Kala would eventually arrive, but she didn't.

Team R&B went looking at other locations coming up empty. Later in the day they returned back to the bay where the waves were strong rushing up on all the rocks. They noticed some movement and upon closer look they spotted a seal way up by the bushes.
It was RL20 Kalua who was taking a beating by the waves. He rolled over hard by a huge wave, managed to pull himself up and moved higher up. He is looking big, fattening up for his molt soon.
There was a guy in the area looking around and asked them if they saw a seal.
Just them they saw a seal offshore foraging in the huge surf. They could see it had two tags, green on its coat and an adult. They couldn't make the ID.
The guy noticed RL20 and called them over, Team R&B appreciated his sharing and thanked him.

Team R&B were fortunate to see dolphins at two locations enjoying themselves. They noted one of them had a really pink belly. Some jumped clear out of the water.
