February 12, 2024 Monday Yesterday's News

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island on "super bowl" Sunday but did not send an update.  So in the yesterday news department here is Marilyn's update.
She viewed Rabbit Island from 10:25 to 12:25 and there were five seals on island during that time.

Out on the rock flats Lanikai side of LPB was RP24 Mohala: sub-adult size, two red tags, nb on tip of LFF, and got a brief view of ventral side.

Almost directly down from the 3BS was an Adult Male: adult size, medium gray ventral, male belly and at least one red tag.

At 10:46, she saw a seal coming down from the dunes between the 3BS and SRI. She did not see the
seal earlier. The seal is labeled Unknown Adult 1: adult size, not sure of sex or tags. The UA1 moved down the beach and had a brief interaction with a Juvenile Female and then the adult moved down and went into snooze mode behind waterfront rocks.

On the beach was the Juvenile Female: juvenile size, older coat, tan female belly and two red tags.

On the waterfront rocks near the SRI channels was Unknown Adult 2: adult size, not sure about sex or tags.
