Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:55 to 12:55 and there were three seals seen during that time.
Out on the rock flats Lanikai side of LPB was a seal Marilyn is labeling a Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, two red tags and a light to medium gray male belly. It was difficult to get photos of him because of the winds, waves and salt spray.
Almost directly down from the 3BS was an Unknown Adult: adult size, at least one red tag and unsure about gender since Marilyn never got to see its belly.
Between 3BS and SRI was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, light yellow female belly, two red tags.
Team R&B started their day at the bay. They met up with some friends and were talking story about the whales, dolphins and seals. Suddenly they noticed RH76 Kala swimming by in a hurry, as id she was trying to get away from something. She kept going, and they knew it was her by her applied bleach on her lower back.
Later in the day they went back to check and RH76 Kala was hauled out on the edge of the rocks. She had company, with her was RH32 Kaale, wonder if it was him chasing her earlier.
While they were out running errands they got a call of a fat seal hauling in at plains. So they headed over to find the fat lady RL12 Aukai. The lifeguards had put out signs for her and they even had ID'd her. Kudos to the lifeguards! They were told that two signs with arrows were lost over the weekend, lifeguards even went looking for them with no luck.
Lastly Team R&B watched in amazement how a pod of dolphins went from the ocean to the bay and close to land. Two people were waking on shore and never saw them in the shallows. Then the dolphins went out of the bay, still there later in the afternoon.
