Todays dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley. Lesley's Ka'ena update is part two of the dailies.
Team Billand found the three amigos on the Leeward side again. RIP RR70, Ka'ale RH32 and his bosom buddy RN14 Kalani. The three were all together and snoozing peacefully.
Team Billand did the Ka'ena west trek and at the 20 mark they found a RW02 PvKauai below the cliffs sleeping alone in a shallow pool. They spent some time trying to get the tag shot but instead he poo'ed and pee'd making it difficult to get a picture of his tag. When things cleared. they got the shot. He was still in the same spot on the way out.
This afternoon I got a text from Barb informing me of some sad news. One of our old posse pal's Aileen lost her husband Sonny. I wanted to mention it here to keep good thoughts and prayers for Aileen. For those of you who don't know, Aileen named Kekoa Alii RK72 and if it weren't for her and her husband we would have never have known that Ewa Girl gave birth at reef runway.
Aileen and Sonny were both retired police officers and then worked together as airport security, until they retired from there.
They played a significant role in watching over Ewa Girl and her pups over the years. She and Sonny became good friends with Team Billand and I know they feel the loss.
Aileen your in my thoughts and prayers, and thank you for all your help over the years.
