Team Billand got to Paradise Cove at 6 am and found Benny way up on shore by the tree. They called the hotline. Team Billand created a zone before folks started coming down to the beach, then sat and waited. All that arrived today were respectful and appreciative about learning about Benny.
They left him at 8:15 after getting another call about a seal at secrets. They did hear from one of their posse that Benny had left the beach.
When Team Billand got to the site after hearing about a seal haul out, they spotted and ID'd RW22 Kolohe on the rocks and alert. There were already signs up and a photoshoot in progress. Team Billand called the hotline.
After leaving Kolohe Team Billand checked the usual "hot spots" and discovered a party of four seals sleeping. First two seals hanging out together were RIP RR70 and RW02 PvKauai to RIP's right.
Then the next two were Kaale RH32 right next to a plump little seal RH48 Lei Ola. They hung out together all day. They must be a sight to see! Lei Ola was sleeping next to Kaale in peace. They didn't witness much interaction, mostly just snoozing. Both 2 years old and the bigger (meaning fatter one) is Kaale.
