Team Billand checked the outfall early this morning and there he was Kaale RH32 doing his thing. He even vocalized to the fishermen, wonder if he was wishing them Happy Holidays.
Later on their afternoon check they found Kaale hauled out snoozing at a nearby beach. He was on the rocks, looking content, peaceful and healthy.
Team Billands second find of the day was at Plains. When they arrived there was already a zone up. and there was Benny RE74 looking healthy, no new markers. They spent time educating the folks at the cabins. They called the hotline to inform. Team Billand left before anyone arrived.
Out at a westside beach Team Billand spotted a seal butt up on the rocks, the rest of the body in the water hole. FINALLY they get a tag shot RN14 Kalani. He was in heavy snooze mode, so they were lucky to get a peek at his tag.
Last seal for Team Billand out at the cliffs. They ID'd RIP RR70 with his broken tag, scar over left eye, and ding on his back. He was completely dry which means he had been there for a while.
Melody had checked the beach a little before 5 pm and didn't see any seals. She left for a bit to take her furry kid to the dog park and when she returned she was surprised to see Rocky RH58 had hauled up and there were some folks standing over her. Melody approaches and asked for them to pull back
and give her some room, well lets just say they weren't the so willing to be nice. Melody called the nearby security who handled the situation and the neighbors came out to support. Rocky was reported to the hotline.
