At 0653 I found Sadie (RB12)&PO2 (D#29) doing a feed up in the Morning Glory, 30 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island. When I got back at 0840 they were in the water, hauling out for a feed and a snooze at 0949. They would enter the water again for an afternoon session at 1300 . The pup was roaming as far away as 40 ft from Mom, playing with stuff. Mom was alert and watching every move.
On a pan at 0949 I found Kainoa (RN04), again today at right Middle Cliff.
Despite many a mile traveled by both Gayle and myself, that was our cast for today, out this way.
Team Billand called at 0657 with the report of Nihoa (R912) at the mouth of the Maipalaoa Canal. She was not visible when they went by at 0838.
At 0749 the Billands found Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point.
At 0838 they reported Kimo Kai (RT12) at Maili Guard Rails. He was gone at 1057.
At 1057 they found that Kolohe (RW22) had hauled out to Maili Guard Rails. No chicks. He would depart at 1102.
At 1122 Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28) at Paradise Cove.
A call from Dana, supported by shots from volunteer Chrissy VanMeter confirmed the arrival of Kolohe (RW22) to join Pohaku at PC. Thank you Chrissy ! Ya’ Done Good !!
At 1554 Chicago posse member Bobbi Johnson called from Hauula advising that they had come across a skinny, green critter, with tags that she could not read. She is sending photos, but my dollar is most certainly on R5AY, since she owns that property.
A DanaTxt at 1833 advised that Don Porter had confirmed the R5AY ID.
Speaking of Kolohe so often today reminds me that the boy turns 7 y.o. today. Happy Birthday kid !
I apologize for rushing through the blog but I am running a fever and it's been a bitch of a couple of days,,, so here is the no frills version.
