Marilyn got a call shortly before 5 pm that there was a small Hawaiian Monk Seal hauled out on the east side. She headed over and found the most recent Oahu weaner RV92, RJ30 Wailea's 20226 male pup. At first he was snoozing but about 25 minutes later he started moving towards the water. He found a small rectangular piece of paper or plastic with which he had fun playing. Then he headed out and Marilyn lost track of him. He looks healthy and appears to behaving normally. Marilyn saw both his V92 and V93 tags.
Team R&B saw Wakea RP28 from afar at Makaha. He was alone high up on shore. When they looked later there was a man on shore by the bushes and by the time they got to the site RP28 was gone.
They did get to enjoy dolphins way out by the boats that were following them around.
Next they got a text of a seal on shore at plains. They headed over and found R407 Kawika again, enjoying his rest by the cabins.
While there they watched a group of men trying to bring back the old Tower One after being repaired.
Way down to the Honolulu end of plains they found another seals. It was KG89 in her own zone.
They also got a couple of great pictures of the waves.
