Marilyn got word on her way to view Rabbit Island of a small monk seal hauled out. She went to check it out and it was a young male RV92 (V93 tag) who was born on Moku Nui either late July or early August to RJ30 Wailea. He looks healthy and did not seem upset by the folks that were around. After her time viewing Rabbit Island she went to check on him and he was still there.
Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:48 to 2:40 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
On the Lanikai side of LPB was a Juvenile Female: larger juvenile size, older coat with lots of green female belly and at least two red tags.
In the middle of LPB were two seals:
R7AF: adult size, newly molted, male belly and two red tags, and
RV50: weaner size, female belly, three red tags and applied N81 bleach.
Down from the 3BS was a Sub-adult Female: newer coat light female belly and two red tags. (Marilyn noted this could also be recent weaner RV76)
Team R&B first sighting on the west side were multiple seals foraging. The first to be ID'd was Lei Ola RH48, there was an Adult Unknown with green and R3CX Nalu. Nalu left the area.
Next they found Miss Kala RH76 in her zen pond.
They saw people taking photos and saw there were two seal hauled out close to shore on Rest Camp
side. One has cc scars who they think is a male, the other seal a female was huge. They couldn't see tags but thought maybe it was Lei Ola, but just not sure.

The two seals fought on shore and then left. Seal with cc scars was a lighter coat and smaller, female was the bigger of the two.
Still on the west side there was a smaller seal swimming around the bay with people in the water. Everyone was yelling watch out for the seal lion, hmmm my guess their not from here . The Unknown Sub-adult had a small line scar under right eye and had tags, and green on its snout.
They saw a seal haul out on shore at Lualualei Beach from afar. They drove over and found the seal was an Adult Male, no tags, an older seal but they just couldn't make an ID.
At another west side location they spotted two seals on shore. One was R3CX Nalu and the other was RP28 Wakea.
At the cliffs they caught a glimpse of a seal. They waited for an hour for the seal to move and they were happy they did. The seal was RU40
They re-checked rest camp for any seals that hauled out. They saw a big female on shore who they think is Lei Ola RH48, but she left when the waves kept hitting her.
On their way home, but..... they spotted one last seal. Quite a busy day.. It was an adult male with a ding on its back no tags. They believe this is R617.
