Feb 01, 2023 Wednesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B 💕. I also have some good news to share with you!!

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:20 to 1:40 and there were two seal on island today.

Alone on the waterfront down from the 1BS was a Juvenile Male: larger juvenile to small subadult size, light male belly and two red tags. This may be the UJ#2 from yesterday.

Just hauling out when she began viewing was an Unknown Subadult: subadult to adult size, two red tags and unknown sex. The U/S didn't show its ventral side.

Team R&B arrived at the outfall and saw one seal foraging. They were able to ID RL20 Kalua

there again, only today he was on his own.

Then they spotted another seal foraging. They tried to get an ID but was unable to, so it was reported as an Unknown Adult.

At a nearby location they found RL08 on the rocks alone. He was resting peacefully.

Team R&B decided to head over to secrets. When they got to the area they saw three seals on shore and no signs. They put up two signs and called the hotline.

The trio consisted of, Kekoa Alii RK72, Nalu R3CX, and Lefty RG28.

At another west side location they found RW02 PvKauai. He was alone on lower rocks. They did not stay long since this area is not the best.

On their last stop of the day at the bay, they was one seal. They were thrilled to find RH76 Kala on the rocks alone. She was looking a little chunky today.

Sooooooo for some good news!! We have our first pup of the

season. PO1 was born, on January 28th (to the best of my knowledge). Our Mom is RJ58 Kaimana who will be 6 years old this year. I personally grateful she did not give birth in Waikiki.
