2/21/2023 part 2 Yesterdays News

This is the first time this happened in 14 years, Team R&B fell asleep and got to their report late. By the time the email came, I had turned in for the night...... So  here is yesterdays' dailies:

They got to secrets late since it had been raining so hard. There was just one seal on shore close to the naupaka. They ID'd RL08 who was snoozing alone. He was up by the gate so they couldn't get to put out the signs. They did find a gentleman who was willing to get to the signs and hand them off. They put them up. All of a sudden RL08 went from snooze mode to zoom mode across the sand to the waters edge. They looked around and didn't see anything. But RL08 kept looking, and eventually flipped over and went to sleep.

At another west side location they spotted a seal resting up on high rocks. There was RK72 Kekoa Alii, he never changed his position. They were getting ready to leave, when they spotted another seal way over to the right. It was RG28 Lefty resting on the rocks in the little pond.  They called it a day, in that the weather was making things muddy and slippery.
