Yesterday late afternoon I check the beach and found R330 BG hauled out for the night.
This morning I saw her fresh trail to the water. While I was doing my morning check RK40 Hauled out and spend the day sleeping away peacefully. We spent most of the morning working on a restauration site then headed to the point. The weather and scenery were absolutely breathtaking.
We found an overnighted RW02 PVKauai sleeping on the sand, later in the afternoon he was still there but now closer to the waterline being face washed by the already growing swell.
R330 Squinty was in a shallow tide pool sleeping away peacefully
RO40 Ka'ena overnighted in some Naupakas, made his way down to the waterline and entered the water with the help of a big wave set. He swam around to another beach, made his way to a small cove and settled down.
This afternoon we watched the BIG WAVES starting to roll in, stayed out till to see the moonrise and for the first time in a long long time I had to come in to change in to pants and long sleeves, not because of mosquitos but because it was COLD !!. Worth the wait the moon put on another show. It's beam crossing the bay was spectacular.
The forecast has been predicting the BIG WAVES tonight. I can hear them crashing already and ehukai is in the air.
More tomorrow - be safe
