Another spectacular day. Waves were still very big, swells were washing the beach, sky and ocean were blue. The albatrosses were down until the light wind picked then the birds were flying all over. The surprise today was to see and document a landed BFA (Black Footed Albatross). This one is not banded. Perhaps tomorrow if he's still around, he may get a band.
In the HMSeal world I documented RK40 Napua with a beach all to herself.
Then I saw little RL74 Kami entering a pool after overnighting in her favorite spot in a Naupaka bed.
R330 Squinty and RW02 PVKauai also overnighted near the Naupaka line staying away from the big waves. They made their way down to the waterline enough to be splashed by the sets.
RO40 Ka'ena found himself a little nook among some rocks on a small sandy beach and was sleeping peacefully.
The 3 photos of a "beach" is what was left of 10 Minutes Beach today - rocks, boulders, rocks, driftwood, boulders, exposed reefs...
