Despite the usual dark and early start it would be 0850 before I encountered my first critter. From Makai Pier at 0850 I found Kolohe snoozin' on the water front rocks at Seal Rock Inlet on Rabbit Island. A few minutes later, at 0901 M38 would haul out to join him. There was some initial nudging, but life soon settled down and both crashed for the day, with no other action of any kind. I stalked the whole SE quadrant, 3 times, but Makana was MIA today. I know he was right there behind a rock or in the grass somewhere, but I never saw him.
Team Billand called to report that Kermit was still fronting #1708 at White Plains. He had apparently overnighted. Kermit departed at 1748. At 1345 they reported RO28 at her usual Guard Rails hangout, Maili Point. At 1420 they found Rocky snoozin' on the reef at Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach.
Team Billand checked in at 1800 to advise that they went to check on Rocky at Wind Sock, but instead found Irma there. A witness said that Rocky had departed earlier, and that later Irma arrived. No times known.
Check da' blog in the morning for Team Billands day. Kolohe and M38
