The Rabbit Island cast for today was M38 at 1BS, Sam at Left Greenery, and Kolohe at Seal Rock Inlet. Sam was the difficult call, since making the call between he and Makana is a really difficult . The bottom line has to be that at no time did I ever see anything like an N27 bleach, with lots of opportunities to see it had it been there. Both Marilyn and I checked AD's multiple times today and I looked at all the usual SE quadrant spots, and Makana was MIA today.
Things must been returning to "normal" in the Monk Seal world, because at 1035 Team Billand reported Benny just hauling out between the LG stand and the east end fence at White Plains, Moments later, at 1040 they reported Kermit just hauling out fronting 1706.
The Billands had reported having gotten a call about an animal at Ewa Beach, and I had gotten a call from Karen Bryan who had gotten a call from a friend who said she was with an animal at Ewa Beach Park at 1145. Team Billand reponded to Ewa Beach after getting Kermit and Benny squared away, and confirmed Rocky at 1209. She was apparently the guest of honor amongst two birthday party celebrations.
All the SW quadrant animals remained as of 1830.
Dera called at 1605 to advise that RI37 was at Shark's Cove as of approximately 1530. Jeanie Martinson responded and confirmed the RI37 ID.
