Dana would call at 1058 with the report of an animal at "Pele's Chair" at AD's, on the town side of Makapuu Point. When I got out there at 1137 I found Duke amongst the rocks , 20 ft above the water, directly below the chair. It is an impossible location, but I've seen other animals at this exact spot. He would later move down the above mentioned rocks to a spot at the water line. It was a formidable journey.
Dana called at 1039 with the report of an animal at Ft. Derussy. Becky Gray called at 1119 to report that it was Kermit. Posse member Leslie reconfirmed the Kermit ID at 1235. Thank you also to Colleen and
anybody else that pulled Kermit duty that I might not be aware of.
On that same 1039 call, Dana also advised of an animal at Kualoa. She said that Diane
Gabriel was responding. At 1200 Dana advised that it was R5AY.
Yet another Dana call came at 1303, reporting an animal to the right of the showers at Diamond Head. Posse member Rachel responded and confirmed the Irma ID.
At 1637 Dana reported an animal at Kahuku. New posse member , Frank sent a confirming photo of KC at Malaekahana. Thank you Frank.
At 1426 Team Billand called to report Benny fronting #1707 at White Plains. It sounds like it was the usual crop of dummies at the Plains.
Marilyn did the Ka'ena Point trek, arriving at 1007, and finding a single animal at the end of the world. It would take until 1227 to finally confirm that it was Kerby. She also said there were something in the neighborhood of 50 people at the end of the world while she was there.
Leslie is still out there workin'. Check the blog in the morning for her Kermit shots from Ft. DeRussy.
